Southampton Primary Computing Hub
Phil Wickins, formally the National Specialist for Primary Computing Leaders for the National Centre for Computing Education, has set up a new primary computing hub for Southampton leaders and teachers.
This will primarily take the form of a half-termly online meeting, free for any teacher or subject leader to attend, to network with other leaders, ask questions, review courses and explore CPD opportunities.
Phil is hosting these meetings voluntarily, and although he is a Southampton City Council Trusted Partner for delivering computing CPD for schools, that service will only be explored in separately arranged meetings with schools on request; the aim is for these meetings to be free of business and sales pitches.
There will, in time, be opportunities for experts in different areas to join the meetings (e.g. physical computing or online safety experts) depending on need.
If you wish to ask any further questions, or add yourself to the Southampton Primary Computing Hub's mailing list, please email: phil.wickins@rundontwalk.co.uk
